The Technical and Engineering Communities (TEC Groups) are volunteer-led networks that bring together diverse expertise to advance engineering knowledge. They deliver technical content through conferences, events, and resources, while supporting members’ personal and professional growth.
In India, TEC Groups contribute in organising technical events and activities, including conferences, workshops, seminars, webinars, and expos. They engage members and committees to develop and deliver technical content, networking opportunities, and services that support ASME’s mission of advancing engineering for the benefit of humanity. Their activities are coordinated across ASME and ASME India to benefit multiple stakeholders.
Through member expertise and shared resources, TEC Groups promote thought leadership, support engineering education, offer fellowships, honours and awards, encourage engineering as a career and provide career development opportunities for engineers in India.
To advance engineering, deliver technical content, and provide growth opportunities to our diverse community
To be the preeminent technical community that delivers solutions to meet evolving global challenges, by empowering our members
The Additive Manufacturing 3D Printing Group was formed in 2022 as part of TEC India. The group has a dedicated focus on additive manufacturing science, technology, practice and trends relative to all applications
The Advanced Clean Energy Systems group focuses on non-conventional energy conversion processes like hydrogen, nuclear & other emerging technologies.
The Gas Turbine India Group, with its first conference in 2012 is dedicated to supporting the exchange and development of information to improve the design, application, manufacturing operation and maintenance and environmental impact of all types of gas turbines, turbomachinery and related equipment.
The India Oil & Gas Pipeline Group was designed to share knowledge and inspire new technologies in the oil and gas transmission industry in India and neighbouring regions. It strives to promote technological progress and co-operation amongst stakeholders.
Pressure Vessels and Piping India was formed in 2024 in response to the interest of members to the rapidly changing and expanding technology of pressure boundary containment.
Structures, Structural Dynamics and Materials Group was formed in India to convene and serve aerospace structures, structural dynamics, and materials communities.
